On our trip to California it was very important to us that we visit the beach. Dave lived in California for a time and always misses having the beach around. After our adventures at Disneyland it was nice to just relax at the beach. It was pretty empty because it was kinda cold but we were determined to have a good time. After a bit we warmed up and didn't even notice that it was September and not July. =)
Up first was playing in the water...
Castor and Lily didn't really like the water. It was cold and scared them a little. They preferred to play up by Mina on the blanket.
Dave thought it would be fun to bury the kids. Here are some more pictures of the kids playing in the sand.
Dave also taught Piper how to dig for sand crabs. She was the only one willing to do it. It was too close to the water for Castor and Lily was simply too busy running around to be bothered. Piper would start screaming and jumping around when she caught one because she was so excited. Dave was able to get Castor to atleast come close enough to look at the crab but that was it. Maybe next time we go to the beach Castor will enjoy it more.
Later that night we went to a Mexican restaurant called El Torito. It was very, very tasty and we look forward to going there again. The kids got little hats that they loved.
We loved our trip and look forward to going again!!!
